Hunting in Hungary
Hungary is a country where nearly every hunter can find the perfect hunt. Whether you are seeking a lifetime trophy or an unforgettable experience, Hungary is the ideal choice. Here, you can hunt red deer, fallow deer, roe deer, mouflon, wild boar, as well as small game. Various hunting methods are used, with stand hunting and driven hunts being the most common.
Roe buck hunting in Hungary begins on April 15th. Most of our guests choose this period because it offers the best opportunity to harvest mature roe bucks. Many hunters also prefer roe buck hunting during the rut, which takes place in late July and early August.
Red deer hunting is considered the highlight of the hunting experience in Hungary. Especially during the rutting season, when the stags are calling, mouflon bucks are pursued. The rut hunting season starts on September 1st. After the rut, hunting of selected stags continues until the end of January.
Fallow deer hunting starts on October 1st. During the rut, there is a high chance to successfully hunt these deer during the day, making this period particularly exciting.
Mouflon hunting begins on September 1st. The rut season in October and November is especially impressive, while the winter driven hunts in snow-covered forests create a unique and unforgettable atmosphere.
